Benfrew loved this video, but not because the video is a brain-teaser -- after watching the video Benfrew bought eight mage armor glyphs...four for 40 gold each, and four for LESS THAN 4 gold each.

Now for Benfrew's real problem...what price to charge?   Benfrew sold some for a few hundred, but is now listing two for 400 and 450 gold.  If those sell, Benfrew will list the others for even more!

Thanks everyone for the thoughtful replies and comments. I've posted the follow-up video with my own thoughts and decision.

Enjoy!

I'm seeing a few of these at 200g today but with the patch fixing the mage armor glyph so soon I don't think I could sell them all in time. I don't know if I would buy these today... thoughts?

Jonathan -

Thanks for the thought process!  The question is really much, much more about WHY than yes or no!!!  It is interesting to read the previous comments of definitely yes or definitely no.  Here are a few of my thoughts:

1) First, it is a game!  500 gold is extremely little for most MGBers unless they are on a new server or just new.  So, the "gamble" is minimal.  As one stated earlier, MGBers can make 500 gold in about the time it takes to sneeze.

2) It takes money to make money.  Sure, the glitch can be fixed at any time (but it hasn't so far).  Even given a quick change by fixing the glitch, does NOT insure that some one will create a ton and post them for 5 gold each (yes there are those brain dead individuals playing the game).  There is a chance that once the glitch is fixed, that the market has been changed enough to keep it in the hundreds of gold range, at least enough time to repost for less, but still above the investment price.

3) There was an option to buy for <= 250 gold and repost for anywhere from say 275 gold to 499 gold.  There is a lot of room between those two number where you can still make some profit.

4) There was an option to buy for <= 250 gold and sell in trade chat for a profit.  The scenario was that Jonathan had one and bought two more.  I am guessing that Jonathan being Jonathan, would only post one for say 498G.  That leaves two in his bag.  Why not hit the trade chat and offer to sell for 450g "which is less than AH!"  Time is money, and timing can be everything.

5) One individual posted that they only look at 100% guaranteed return.  WOW!  To truly kick up the process in the MGB method, you have to come to the place where you are willing to lose in order to put yourself in a place to gain.  Yes, you can make gold with a very conservative MGB approach, but you can make "Massive Gold" by testing the market from time to time which implies at least some level of risk.

Hope this helps.

Thanks

Jeff

It was supposed to happen Tuesday of last week, but due to some other issues that didn't happen. I don't when it supposed to be fixed.
