Every now and then, you should reset and restart your Auctioneer scan data. And right now would be a very good time to do it! With that in mind, I've added a new video to the Tools section:

Auctioneer's data storage and file handling is quite robust, but the files become very large and there is a real possibility of corruption and data loss. So you should think of renewing the Auctioneer scan data as a regular maintenance procedure, and a best practice in playing the Auction House game.

It's also a good idea to reset the “baseline” of historical data on a regular basis, so that the numbers and values you see will line up properly with the current economy on your realm.

I recommend you reset the Auctioneer data files every 3 to 6 months. And you should also make a fresh start after major game-changing events, such as an expansion.

Now is a great time for a fresh start. The WoW economy is just starting to settle down following the Cataclysm expansion, and you need to get your historical data back in line with reality. It's even more important to take care of this right now if you've been running Auctioneer for a while, and you've never backed up or restarted your data files.

This is also the procedure you should follow in order to reset your Pipeline/Purchogram data.
