All MGB members are welcome to access our private Teamspeak voice chat service. It is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. From time to time I announce specific events and times when the Teamspeak channel will be active (watch for this info in your regular MGB member update emails). But you will often find other MGB'ers (especially Toltec!) online and available for chat.

Here is the access info:

Server: 66.135.41.161 (or secretwarcraft.com if you prefer)
Port: 9987 (just leave it blank if you wish, this is the "default" port setting)
Password: mymgb (all lower case)

You will need to install the TeamSpeak3 client software, which is free. Download it here:

http://www.teamspeak.com/?page=downloads

When you run it the first time, a setup wizard will step you through the process of setting up a profile and connection. Controls are laid out a bit differently than in Ventrilo, but it's easy to use. Make sure you choose "push-to-talk" and set up a hotkey to use for this.

- Jon

P.S. if you have trouble getting TeamSpeak going, post a question here.

The info is correct. You must have run into a temporary connection issue.

I've just posted an updated blurb on accessing TeamSpeak for Gold Speed Run...

Thanks for the fast reply. I think it may be an ISP issue cause i cant even access secretwarcraft.com (getting a timeout error and visual route shows its firewalled). sucks to, i was looking foward to getting in on the GRS info when the run starts Sad

As an aside, I had no problem getting Teamspeak up and working.
My problem is I lost my voice box to cancer and can't talk. I have a text to speech program that works so, so but don't want to use it late at night when the rest of the household is asleep.

One of these days, it sure would be nice if you were able to add a "quick and dirty" chat box.  For example the Call of Duty worked pretty well for ppl who had any patience at all.

Just wishful thinking I know, but I hate lurking and having ppl address me and not being able to respond. Very rude and that's not me (usually)...

imo its not rude, knowing the reason behind your not responding. besides who dosent like a good lurking now and then Tongue. in anycase dont be shy about hoping into teamspeak. there are plenty of us that will be more than happy to communicate thru the text chat feature of TS you im sure

Heya Smiley Teamspeak isn't used that much outside of speed runs. Its really just pot luck whether anyone's there or not when you log in. If you have questions etc feel free post - there are always people dropping by the forums and everyone is happy to help out.

Cheers,

Sera
