The Hallow’s End world event has been revamped substantially for 2011. It’s running in-game from October 18 through October 31, and thanks to the changes Blizzard has made, we have some serious gold-making opportunities this time around.
In the updated event gold guide for Hallow's End, the main topic is how to profit with the 3 companion pets available during this festival, with a view to big long-term profits in anticipation of the Mists of Pandaria expansion.
- Sinister Squashling
- Feline Familiar
- Creepy Crate
What does Pandaria have to do with this?
It’s all about the new Pet Battle system that will arrive with MoP. Among other things, the new pet combat system will make virtually all companion pets (formerly “non combat” pats) tradeable and you’ll be able to sell them on the auction house.
So even though the pets you get now during Hallow’s End will be soulbound when you pick them up, you’ll be able to sell them for sky-high prices when the expansion arrives next year.
I explain it all in the video, along with several more gold-making tips for more immediate results, including Weighted Jack-o’-Lanterns and Arcane Powder.
