The final standings for efficiency rating at the end of the 5-day Sell-Off period at the end of Gold Speed Run 6 are now posted in the GoldSpeedRun.com members' area:

I have to admit I was really surprised to see such great results at the top of the standings! We have no less than 10 challengers coming in with better than 40% efficiency ratio, which is what I consider to be the benchmark of an excellent and highly successful speed run.

Huge gratz to Sprawl, playing single-faction Alliance on Doomhammer EU, who finished up with nearly 75% efficiency ratio (48,323g in hand, from 64,550g acquired). That's sensational, and well worth the grand prize.

Stay tuned for a separate post and announcement of the actual prizes for all winners in this Gold Speed Run 6.

Jon,

I was hoping to win the efficiency award with my 67% but I am disappointed I didn't even make the final standings list. Undecided
Can we get an update so I can see my name in 2nd place lights?  Grin

Thanks,

Hiya  Jon,  It has been a while since anyone posted.  I was wondering when the prizes will be announced.   Maybe it is because of the holidays that all are or were busy but it is almost a month that all is over.   Please post something to let us know.  Thank you.

Well it is almost 2 months now.  I still have not heard anything about anything.  What about the prizes that were promised?  What has happened?  Where is everyone?  Was this even a real contest?  Why can I get no answers from no one?

Heya Smiley It has been kinda quiet, hasn't it? A few of us old regulars hanging around the forum and not much else. I know that the first five speedruns went as planned and were legitimate, so I would think that once Jon has things under control prizes etc will be issued. The question I don't have an answer to is where Jon is lol - we  haven't been able to find him either! Hopefully everything is resolved soon. I did hear something about his web site guy getting sick or something, but that's all I've seen.

Hello All,

Well it is now May 13, 2012.  My last post was on Feb 14, 2012.   As of today in May I still have heard NOTHING as the prize I was Supposed to be awarded from winning the gsr.  I have heard nothing from anyone.  I am starting to get emails from Jon to buy more things.  HA HA I will not buy anything and I will tell all who will listen NOT to buy from Jon.  This is very poor business practices and all about making money for him.  As you can see I am very bitter about this.  If there is another speed run I will be telling all who will listen it is not for real and only to make money for Jon.    Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry

I got the same emails about gold making in Diablo 3. That explains why we have had only one video all year - he's been playing another game.  I can understand the need to generate new revenue streams - we all have bills that need to be paid.

However, you would have thought he could have had the decency to finish off one project (goldspeedrun) before starting another (Diablo 3)  including delivering the goldspeedrun prizes Sad. At the very least he could have emailed members to let them know what was happening.

I won't be investing any further money in his ventures either as there is now no guarantee that he will fully honour his commitments.

What a shame Cry
